Yolanda & Gilberto

This was my last wedding for 2005. We had a little bit of everything.

Friends that go back a few years.

A spirited and great looking wedding party.

Little girls whose dreams are built on being a princess.

A bride and a groom who will have to put his 1963 Chevy Supersport Impala on the side as he starts a new chapter in life.

And passing on the tradition of catching a bouquet. Some come to play, others watch and say "no way" and one just laughs the night away.

The Lawrence family

Laughter, kids running, falling and crying, toys all over, lights on in every room, the TV blasting in the background, reminiscing from the past, where the young interacts with the old. Call me a traditionalist, but I love the sights and sounds of the family. In an era were family members are all over the place for various circumstance it’s great when everyone takes time out of their business schedule to get back to core—“the family.” The Lawrence family gave me my dose of “the family” it a total pleasure to be part of their day.

These are the times to remember they won’t last forever, cherish them. Have you hugged a love one today? peace and blessings~lorenz and marylou

Let’s all celebrate this day by giving thanks for all that we have. I’m grateful for good health and that I live in a country that allows me to do what I want to do and say what I want to say. Scavenge hunt

In the spirit of continued learning, continued gratitude, continued growth and continued forward motion I go out on a daily scavenge hunt to look at the obvious and make reason out of it. Today's search was for triangles. This exercises was designed to train my eye to go beyond looking to see elements within something else. How many triangles can you count?

Cowboy and the bride

Sara and TJ's backyard wedding had it all from cowboy hats, flowers, whisky, country songs to an elegant bride. The theme for the day was lots of laughter from young and old, the best man summed it up by saying "we are family." The spirits were high and all I can say is that these guys and gals really know how to throw down a party.

Clarice (Sara's mom) took care of every last detail to make the day perfect for everyone. Well almost, when the bride and groom were about to exchange their rings everyone noticed the ring bearer don't have the rings on his pillow- oops. Mom being the life saver ran as fast as she could into the house to save the day. My hats is off to Clarice, you did a fantastic job!

The ceremony ended with a spectacular southwest sunset.

Leslie & Matt

Did you ever meet a couple and say "wow, those two have great chemistry between them?" After spending the afternoon with Leslie and Matt, I got the feeling that these two were meant for each other. It was the small things, a casual glance, a smile, and the glow of happiness about them.

As the evening progressed, we had a visit by the King himself as sung many of his old hits.

Hangin out with the Bear

Great wedding yesterday, Rowellyn & Jason where a fantastic couple and lots of fun. We spent most of the afternoon on the golf course at Bear's Best http://www.bearsbest.com/vegas/ on the southwest side of the Las Vegas valley. The streaming clouds provided a spectacular sunset only to have an equally beautiful full moon rise over the east to illuminate the evening sky. The day ended with a very personable reception with family and friends...... a fun time for all. enjoy:)

Joann & Anthony

Young, vibrant and a desire to be different are just few things that come to mind when I think of Joann & Anthony. Their love affair started in high school and they have never looked back.

Cuba Libre

I had the pleasure of meeting Roxy, Gil and Jorge from Tampa.

Gil came to the US nine years ago from Cuba and met Roxy through a mutual friend. The story has it that the first time they met it didn't go so good. As Roxy states "I hated him, he asked for a ride home and gave me a hard time the whole drive." Really..... I'm happy to say five years late, they decided to tie the knot. I witness the coming together of two families with Jorge being an intricate part of their life.

Roxy called me a few weeks back and asked if I won't mind taking some photos of her wedding day and told me to do whatever I wanted the day of the shoot. That's all I needed to hear, my creative juices started to flow and I suggested a photo shoot on Fremont Street. Viva Cuba!

Destiny

Today, Trisha & Dyon started another chapter on their journey together.

The core of their relationship is based on the love for the Lord. He has brought them together through many challenges. His love has taught them to always share and give unselfishly to each other with kindness, patience, trust and always seeking understanding. You both are awesome, I wish you much success and happiness as you continue to grow together~lorenz .

flexibility is the key to......

Leslie & Matt emailed me a few weeks back asking if they could do their engagement session under the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, today we drove out to the sign only to find a TV production crew filming a commercial. They weren't giving up the spot for anything, so we brain stormed and put plan B in action. We got back into our cars and drove up the strip to the New York New York and Monte Carlo casinos to take some cool shots~lorenz

mackenna nicole

Ok, I have a soft spot for babies. Long after I have put away my camera from the wedding day this is the next chapter of a family.

Mackenna, is the daughter of Theresa and Brandon who came into the world on Thursday, August 25 at 1031 am.

Mom and dad congrats! Mackenna will be one of your biggest challenges in life. As you both nurture & guide her it will require lots of tolerance, patience, acceptance & forgiveness on your part as you teach her responsibility & accountability. Lastly, trust yourself to do the right thing and Mackenna to get it......eventually.

I love the natural light coming through the window. It's also a gift.

Wynn Las Vegas

I had the pleasure of photographing Tricia & Michael's wedding on Saturday. They were both so easy-going and it was a joy to witness their love.

The backdrop for their special day was the Wynn Las Vegas, this is the newest multi-million dollar resort on the strip. The casino is not lacking in details and is first class through out. It's a photographers paradise.

It was a lot fun being a part of your celebration!

My own car!!!

My daughter Monica worked all summer long with one goal in mind and that was to have her own ride once she went back to school. Happy to say, with a lot of "I don't want to get up now, just let me sleep five minutes more" mornings she accomphished her mission. She did the research on the internet and found herself a 2003 Hyandai Accent with only 6,700 miles (you read right) for a very reasonable price.

My baby left yesterday for her second year at Arizona State University in Tempe to study business. Good luck, Monica and make us proud~love mom & dad

The joy of having all that money in her hands for five minutes....

New York New York

On September 30, 2004, in front of a packed Yankee Stadium Anthony got on his knees and asked Misty if she would marry him. She made him suffer for a whole 5 seconds before she said "YES!"

So, they decided to keep the New York theme alive during their engagement session~lorenz
