Midday Friday, I'm on my way into the Credit Union when I receive a call on my cell from a young lady with a heavy Australian accent. "Hello Lorenz" "yes" "my name is Belinda and I'm getting married tomorrow" after 10 seconds of silence "are you available to take some photographs of my fiancee and me on the strip?" "Tomorrow?" " Yes" "What time?" "Around noon" "I have one commitment around that time but how about we get together later in the day?" "Ok, what time?" "How about 5:00?" "Fine" by this time I'm thinking is this for real. "Would you like to look at my website to see if my style is what you're looking for?" "I've already done that and I love your work." "Well, ok lets get together then."
Sure enough I met up with Belinda and Dennis (from Sydney, Australia) in front of the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casio on Saturday afternoon and I briefly introduced myself and told them "the camera is your friend, now let's go and have fun." We walked and talked and I clicked away for about an hour, burned them a CD with the images and off they went for a nine-month trip around the world.
Next stop, Germany to watch their favorite team Portugal play in the World Cup.
